On Feb. 21, the Special Learning Center held its annual Moments of Magic fundraiser at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jefferson City.
The event had a cowboy theme this year and featured the story of the Fishers, including Abigail “Abby” Fisher, who has a Dandy-Walker malformation, which affects brain development, primarily in the cerebellum. The cerebellum regulates motor movement.
The SLC provides early intervention services for children with developmental delays and disabilities. The center provides its students opportunities to get involved in a myriad of activities and programs.
